SOST · Mining

Mine with your CPU. Memory is the work.

ConvergenceX is memory-hard proof of work: the miner builds and holds a large dataset and scratchpad, and walks through it in sequential rounds. Any ordinary computer with enough RAM can mine solo; any node verifies the result quickly.

What you need

Before you start

Why memory-hard

The miner must build and hold the full 4 GB dataset and 4 GB scratchpad in memory to solve the ConvergenceX puzzle.

Solo, no pools

Each miner works on its own blocks; the reasons are explained in "Why no pools".
