FAQ

Is this open source?

Yes — fully open source under the MIT License. You can read, audit, modify, integrate and deploy all code freely, including for commercial use.

Do exchanges, wallets or node operators need a licence or deposit?

No. Exchanges, custodians, wallet providers, block explorers and infrastructure operators may integrate and run SOST nodes, wallets and RPC services with no licence fee, no security deposit and no additional permission.

Are there any restrictions at all?

Only the standard MIT obligation: keep the copyright and permission notice in copies. The SOST and ConvergenceX names and branding may be subject to separate trademark rights.

Enforcement: The protocol reserves the right to pursue remedies for violations of the MIT License terms, in accordance with applicable intellectual property law. This right exists to protect the ecosystem and its participants, not to restrict good-faith experimentation or contribution.
